Your girlfriend notices everything.
A smell. A mark on your collar. A lunch you never answered.
Your ex wants one more night in room 614.
Every message you send is remembered. Every one she reads, you'll have to answer for.
One phone. Two women. One weekend that decides everything.
— Hello there —
I'm StudioLucy. Ex Files is a story you read through a phone. v1.0 is the complete story: Chapters 3 and 4, seven endings.
New here? Start at Chapter 3, the story recaps what you need.
— The Story —
You are in love with Maria. Your ex, Lila, is not done with you. A hotel room, an anniversary, and a question that comes with a key: how much of this can you hide from someone who notices everything?
Maria reads what you send, sees what you don't say, and keeps count. Lies can work, if she trusts you and hasn't caught you before. Jake can cover for you, or start asking questions.
— How You Play —
You live the story through a phone. Messages arrive with typing and "Seen". Photos open when you tap them. Chats pile up, and you choose which one to answer first.
A recap shows you exactly what Maria saw. Your choices add up, and they decide which of the 7 endings you reach, one of them hidden. An Endings menu gives hints for the ones you missed.
— Features —
- Phone interface on PC, Mac and Android
- Chapter 3 "Seen by Her" and Chapter 4 "Read Receipts"
- 7 endings, one of them hidden, with hints
- Animated intimate scenes with Lila and Maria
- Saves carry over, and the Chapters menu lets you start anywhere
- English, Russian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese
— Content Warnings —
18+ only. This game contains explicit sexual scenes and nudity, infidelity and lying between partners. All characters are fictional adults.
The Maria & Daniel storyline is fully avoidable. It only opens through your own choices, you choose whether to look, and the walkthrough marks it.
